| St. Mary's School, animated by the Spirit of Jesus is committed to

Art Department The Art Department at St. Mary's is a disciplined-based educational program for grades Pre-K3 - 8th. Throughout the year, children will be instructed in projects that focus on Art History, Art criticism, Art production and Aesthetics. There will be projects that are related to the current curriculum, which are on going in their homerooms. This is to let you know that our school has teamed up with Original Works - the #1 art based program in the country - to off a very special program that allows you to have your child's very own artwork reproduced into a number of professional, full color products. Your child will be creating their artwork in school, using the regular art curriculum as the basis for their work of art. You will then have the opportunity to order a variety of products with your child's own artwork featured on each and every product. Music Department The music curriculum is Music Play. This is taught to children in Kindergarten - 6th grade. Music Play is in use in more than 2000 schools internationally. Music Play is a play based music program, each week features a new game from which the musical concepts in the curriculum are taught. Music Play supports and enhances science, social studies, and language arts curriculum. Along with this program, children will be taught how to read music, and play the recorder (4th).
