Independent Reading
All students in grades
1-8
take part in the Accelerated Reading program. Using the AR program,
students choose their own books and read them at their own pace. After
completing the book the student takes a Reading Practice quiz on the
computer. Both the student and teacher get immediate, individualized constructive feedback to direct ongoing reading practice.
For specific information on your student's reading level and recommended reading
goals, talk to your child's classroom teacher.
