11/29/11 IMPORTANT CASINO NIGHT INFORMATION Since each family is required to participate in the Casino Night fundraiser, here is a list of ways you can help. Please notify me ASAP so you can choose how you'd like to help out. See the list below and email me with your choice. Our class parents need to fill all of the slots below. Thanks!
11/21/11 Please check my wish list for the few items I have there. We are in need of a few optical mice and headsets with microphones. Ask your child how often we use those items and how they quickly wear out. Thanks for whatever you can do!!! Lori Mangieri
Dear 5th grade parents, On Monday morning we received word that the father of Patrick Horosco passed away. We know that many of the students in 5th grade are close to Patrick and are also saddened by this news. The family has requested that the group of us attend the funeral mass in support of him and the family. So, Friday at 1:00 we will be attending the funeral mass. To help out with whatever is needed, we thought that it would be a nice gesture to gather a class donation for the Horosco family. Those of you that are wanting to contribute may send in a cash donation or check payable to St. Mary's in a marked envelope. We would also like the kids to get involved so we are asking the students to bake goodies and bring them in on Friday. They will be selling to students in other classrooms. Welcome to 5th Grade! I'm looking forward to a great year! We have quite a bit planned so let's get started! My door opens at 7:30 each morning. That's when we begin morning work so try to be in class no later than 7:50 (bell). Have your supplies ready each day. As your supplies run low you know it's time to replenish them. Use your planner for homework and assignments so you can be organized and get assignments in on time. There will be points taken off the final grade of late assignments. If you have any concerns or problems getting assignments in a parental note or email is appreciated to let me know of the problem. Keep up with AR reading. You must have a book that you are reading with you every day. I have a large variety of books on my book shelves so you will always have a book to read when you have finished your library book.
