Saint Lucy

St. Lucy was born in Sicily in the year 300. The name Lucy means light. She is the patron saint of the blind and those with eye trouble. Her feast day is December 13. Her mother engaged her to a Pagan but she refused to marry him. St. Lucy died from a dagger that went through her heart. St. Lucy became a saint because she had so much love for God.
