Saint Rose of Lima

Saint Rose of Lima's feast day is August 30th.Rose was born in Lima Peru. She lived there with her family. Saint Rose of Lima was born April 20th,1586 and died there on August 30th,1617.Rose was very beautiful, but she had no desire to be admired for her heart had been given to Jesus. So she put a long pin into a wreath and put it on her head, and it pierced her so deeply that she had a hard time getting it off afterward. Saint Rose of Lima is a patron of Latin America and Philippines.
