St. Francis of Assisi

St. Francis was born in Assisi, Italy in 1182. He was in the military and was from a wealthy family. St. Francis decided to give away all he owned and to help the poor and all the animals. He lived to be 44 years old. His feast day on October 4^th. St. Francis of Assisi is the patron saint of animals and the environment.
