The Apple

The apple from the Tree of Life is a symbol of temptation from the devil, and is the start of all sin.

It reminds us of our need for a savior and of original sin. The serpent, the most cunning of all animals, said unto Eve, "God simply doesn't want you to eat it because you will become as much as a god as he is.” So she looked at the tree and saw the fruit and ate it. She gave some to her husband, Adam. When God found out that they had eaten the forbidden apple he banished them from the Garden of Eden to the vast waste land that was to the east of the garden. Since it had brought sin to the world he made a plan to send a savior to protect us from sin, thus resulting in our savior Jesus Christ.
