On Friday, September 21st, St. Mary's School celebrated International Peace Day.  The students made pinwheels to display, representing "Whirled Peace."  The whole school gathered at 12:30 for a peace prayer service.  Peace starts locally and hopefully will spread globally.

National Make a Difference Day was on Friday, October 26.  Our class along with our reading buddies in Mrs. Ripley's class made a garden in loving memory of Sr. Joan Cahill, weeded, mulched, and spruced up the front of the school.  The children really had a great time taking ownership of their environment in this community building experience.  A BIG THANK YOU goes out to everyone who helped out!

We celebrated Veteran's Day by making t-shirts to show our pride in our country and to honor and respect our veterans.  The whole school collected items to send to three different troops in Iraq.
