First Grade Remembered
I had a great year in first grade. We did S.M.I.L.E. It was fun. We played tag. We did Whirled Peace. We sang for the nursing home. It was fun. We did fun art activities. The fair was very fun. Mrs. Strain is fun too. She is the best. I hope next year is like that. By:
Sullivan I had a great year in first grade. My teacher is the best. I met new friends. I met Mia, Jessica B., Maddie, and Jessica T. The first time I was in P.E. it was the best.. Mia helps me sometimes. On Teacher Day we surprised Mrs. Strain. We painted lots of pictures with Mrs. Strain. Journal writing is fun. The best part of all is prayer. First grade is fun. By:
Sofia I had a great year in first grade. I sang to the nursing home. I dressed up as a witch. I liked to play with Courtney, Maddie, Jessica B., Jessica T., Shaine, and Sofia on the playground. I make art with my friends. I made a flower garden for Sr. Joan Cahill. I did the Stations of the Cross. I like art with Mrs. Strain. She is a great teacher. I love her and I love the fair. By: Mia
I had a great year in first grade. We went on a field trip to the King Center. We played at the park too. We did a celebration of Mardi Gras. It was even funner than the King Center. I love first grade. I like to do art too. I love everything, yippee! I know school is super fun. The fair was awesome! There was a ride called freakout. It was super fun, yippee! By: Marc
I had a great year in first grade. I like to play tag on the playground with Myron, Joseph, Kyle, Jaylynn, Daniel, and Sullivan. I also like to read books with Kyle. We like to read 3rd and 2nd grade books. What I liked most of all was the S.M.I.L.E. I bought a butterfly. I saw it fly away. It took awhile. I liked to plant some flowers on Make A Difference Day. My sister got to sit in the wagon. I really, really liked the fair. I went on the bumper cars, starship, and sizzler. I had a great time in first grade. By: Patrick
I had a great year in first grade. I made many friends. We help the poor, all of us. We made windmills for “Whirled Peace.” We did S.M.I.L.E. We let butterflies go. We made a wish. We play popcorn when we are about to do our spelling test. I liked first grade. By: Rachele
I had a great year in first grade. I liked playing games with Mrs. Strain. I liked playing games with my friends named Patrick, Alex, and Daniel. My favorite thing was Fat Tuesday. I also like reading buddies. I liked doing the S.M.I.L.E. Project. The Sr. Joan Cahill garden is beautiful. St. Patrick's Day was fun with my friends. I went to the fair. I was going on a ride. Myron I had a great year in first grade. I did many things. My favorite thing was the S.M.I.L.E. Program. I was a reader in the S.M.I.L.E. Program. I also liked Make A Difference Day. Now Sr. Joan Cahill's garden is beautiful. I mad e lots of friends in first grade. I play with Amanda on the playground a lot. I also play with Mia and Maddie. I love to learn stuff. I had a great year in first grade. We did S.M.I.L.E. We did it because there are people that have cancer. Mia and I play on the playground together. We went to the nursing home at Halloween and Christmas. At Halloween I was pink super girl. We also have reading buddies. Mia, Courtney, and I read books and take AR test together. I have a lot of friends in first grade. We were angels at the Christmas Pageant. I had a lot of fun with the two Jessicas in my class. I had a lot of fun at the fair. I had a great year in first grade. At Halloween we went to the nursing home. I was a fairy. We had to sing “Angels Among Us.” It was fun. My friends are Courtney, Maddie, Mia, and Jessica B. I had a great year in first grade. I like AR reading. I learned to read way better. I like reading Captain Underpants books. I read a lot of books and I have a lot of points. I like performing in the pageant. I was an angel. I also like P.E. I like all of the P.E. Games. I also like reading in the prayer service. I was a little nervous but I had to read. I had a great year in first grade. We do art work. We go to P.E. I love “Angels Among Us.” It is a sweet song. I have a lot of reading points on the computer. I have a lot of friends. I had a great year in first grade. I learned at P.E. Mrs. Strain is the best first grade teacher. I play fun games at recess, like jump rope. My best first grade teacher is Mrs. Strain. My best friends are: Sofia, Zach, Joseph, Shaine, Mia, Jessica B., Sully, March, Myron, and Maddie. My funnest game is jump rope. P.E. is the funnest activity, so is playground. I have a jump rope. I bring it to school. Science is really fun but the funnest of all is the first grade teacher, Mrs. Strain. By: Alex
I had a great year in first grade. We were angels in the Christmas pageant. The eighth graders were our partners. My friends are Jessica B., Maddie, and Shaine. We play on the playground. We had lots of parties. My reading buddy is Sophia. Mrs. Strain is the best teacher ever and the funnest. We did lots of artsy stuff. We did the S.M.I.L.E. Prayer service. I liked the raffles.
